The Salt- June 2022

June in Tasmania is a very busy month!

In the world of sea salt winter is the best time for harvesting. When the temperature drops so low that the air is colder than the ocean- that’s the perfect time. This means cold, crisp mornings on-site and earlier sunsets!

With the salt side of the business taken care of, we also celebrated some great collaborations this month. Including being featured in Dark Mofo’s Winter Feast, Tourism Tasmania’s ‘The Off-Season’ campaign, the opening of Mayfield Estate cellar door and the very exciting collaboration with Pana Organic.

We teamed up with Pana Organic to create the new, delightfully sweet and ever so salty, Tasman Sea Salt Mylk Chocolate. Collaborating with this wonderful brand has been particularly exciting as firstly, chocolate and salt is, and will always be an incredible combination and secondly, Pana Organic is a brand that strongly aligns with our own values. The Melbourne based team is passionate about creating organic, vegan products that are full of nourishing goodness that is both good for you and the earth.

When we set about creating our new mylk chocolate, Tasman Sea Salt was an obvious and natural partner for us. We always try to collaborate with local, like-minded businesses, and Tasman Sea Salt was a perfect fit with our mantra ‘Love your insides. Love the earth.’ At Pana Organic, we’re conscious of ensuring we deliver delicious products while minimising our environmental impact, and Chris and Alice’s practices really resonated with us.
